Magic Marinara


1 14-15 ounce can diced tomatoes
1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes
4 cloves garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon dried thyme
¼ teaspoon dried oregano
pinch of salt or to taste (we try to use very little salt in our house)
1 bunch of kale, any kind, chopped finely in food processor


Sauté garlic in a drop of olive oil or a little bit of water. Be careful not to burn. Add remaining ingredients, except kale, and bring to a boil. Add kale. Lower heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.

Reheats wonderfully, so you may want to make a double batch.
