Molly's Burger


2 cups any cooked bean (Molly likes kidneys)

4 carrots grated

1 small onion chopped

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

3 gloves garlic chopped

1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder (adjust according to taste)

pinch of salt

pinch of ground black pepper

water or bean water for mixing


Pulse beans, carrots, onion, oats, parsley, garlic, chili powder, salt and pepper in food processor until combined. Do not puree. If mixture does not hold together, add drops of water or bean liquid until it does. Form into patties and chill for one hour or overnight. 

Bake on a baking sheet misted in olive oil at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes per side.

Enjoy with buns or on their own. They make great leftovers!
