Delicious Plant-Based Gravy




¼ cup olive oil
1/3 cup diced carrot
1/3 cup diced celery
1 onion diced
1 bay leaf
¼ tsp dried thyme
¼ cup whole wheat pastry flour
5 black peppercorns
4 cups water
2 veggie no-salt bouillons
sea salt and pepper to taste


Heat oil in saucepan and add vegetables until they begin to brown. Add flour and cook until it browns. Add thyme, peppercorns, bouillons, and water. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and let simmer for 30 minutes or so until thickened. Add salt and pepper to taste. Check out this instructional video recipe on Youtube at:
